I'm so sorry, friends! It's been so long since I've updated this blog. I've been trying to think of a direction to take it because there really is so much going on in all of our lives right now. Some things I don't want to discuss on a public site but others I can handle sharing.
First, I'll update you on the kids. Since we all know they are the most important, right? =)

She's 8 years old now and growing to be more beautiful every single day. I miss her dearly when she isn't with us and pray all the time that things will change for her to be with us full-time. She would truly benefit from being with us and I trust God knows that and will someday bring her to our home for good. This every other weekend business, it's for the birds! I miss my girl so much when she's away! She is in the 2nd grade and hoping like crazy to make it to the 3rd grade. Math kicks her butt, majorly! But I have faith in her and I'm sure she will make it. Her mother has signed her up for cheer-leading so I hope that will make her happy. She's so smart and such a joy to be around.

He's 5 now and all boy. He tries my patience on a daily basis but I love him all the same. He's so intelligent, sometimes a little too much so. His conduct at school hasn't been the best this year in Pre-K. It's mostly talking and I threaten to duct tape his mouth and his response is always "but won't it get dirty?" *sigh* I truly do love him though. I couldn't imagine my life without him. He'll start kindergarten in the fall and I actually am registering him next week. YIKES! He's playing Spring Soccer right now and loving it just as much as he did in the Fall. There aren't really any new developments as far as his cleft lip/palate progress. He will have more surgeries in probably a year or so.
Now for my dearest husband...
A little over a year now he has been working with a company that treats him like dog crap on the bottom of your shoe. He's been searching for a job for a few months now just to get out of a sinking company with no such luck. Yesterday, he gets to work and is immediately told to pack his things and leave. They laid him off. They say it was due to lowering costs and I can only hope they were telling the truth. So that was a really scary and shocking thing to deal with yesterday. BUT, he is on his way this very minute to an interview! Here's hoping it goes wonderful and he will only be without a job for a week or so! Other than work, he's busy keeping me happy so everyone else can be happy =) He's amazing. He puts up with a lot from me lately because of some things going on with me...speaking of me...
I think last time I posted I thought I was pre-diabetic. Well that wasn't the case. I'm not pre-diabetic. Hooray! But I still have hypothyroid and now have been diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome). So double whammy to me for trying to have a baby! Whew! But I'm on some medications and am very optimistic right now that something will happen soon with that. After 2 years of trying, something has to give, right? I spend a lot of time on www.soulcysters.net reading about other girls journeys. It actually helps! Work is going great for me. I am so blessed to have a job I enjoy and I work with some incredible people. I love getting up in the morning and not have that feeling of dread that some people do when they go into work. It's nice.
Well other than all of that, things are pretty quiet for the time being. Maybe things will soon get exciting and I will have even more to blog about. I'll try and keep everyone who cares up-to-date with Justin's job hunt and also with the baby stuff. Oh and yes, speaking of babies! My sister is expecting her second little boy! Sawyer will be here late June. Yay for Cayden being a big brother!! And I have a lot of friends expecting right now so I will have my baby fix until it's MY time.
